RSCM starts operating Kanigara integrated service building

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Government-owned Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) in Jakarta has begun operating an integrated health service building named Kanigara that provides uro-nephrology, hepatology, and diabetes services.”Since RSCM is the biggest hospital in Indonesia, we need to manage its service. We start by constructing this Kanigara building,” Finance Minister Sri Mulyani stated during the inauguration of Kanigara Building at RSCM in Jakarta on Friday. The project, which utilized Rp348.7 billion of the state budget, is located on the south side of the RSCM Complex spanning a total area of 12.5 hectares in Central Jakarta. The building has 12 floors that integrate several services under one roof, the minister noted. Mulyani explained that in the early stages, the building will provide services, such as various comprehensive services for uro-nephrology, comprising evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of urology conditions in adults and children as well as acute and chronic kidney conditions. Moreover, in the field of hepatology, services for illnesses in the stomach, liver, and pancreas will be provided. Furthermore, services will be offered for diabetes patients. The minister is optimistic that Kanigara Building would become part of sustainable development and improvement to help the hospital becomes a world-class referral hospital. On the same occasion, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin remarked that out of a total of 12 floors, currently, eight had been built in the last four months. “There are still four floors left. We will complete building all of them immediately to provide the best services for patients. Currently, the ICU room and the surgery room are already available,” he noted. In the future development plan, Sadikin said there will be 36 additional surgery rooms, with 18 of them having been completed and can be used for patients of the National Healthcare and Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan). He noted that the construction of Kanigara Building had been neglected for the last 11 years due to problems in the project budgeting process. “Since I saw (that work on) this building was not completed, we decided to build it quickly. Thank God, the RSCM team was able to work fast and complete it in four months,” he remarked. He remarked that the main obstacle behind the building’s abandonment was an inappropriate budget planning process. “At that time, the budget was not calculated properly. Thus, the project was neglected. We must avoid this problem in future,” he emphasized. baca-jugaRelated news: Suspected kidney failure cases in W Java may be measles: ministerRelated news: IDAI, RSCM conducting research on using ethanol as AKI antidote

We have heard opinions and inputs from all representatives. We have gathered their proposed price. We have gathered their proposed price,” NFAHead Arief Prasetyo Adisaid in a statement received here on Friday. ccording to Adi, a crucial meeting was held with representatives from ministries, government institutions, associations, farmers’ organizations, and business actors for setting the purchase price. The meeting sought to determine the HPP that would become a benchmark for absorbing farmers’ unhusked rice. The meeting was a form of the government’s commitment to involving all stakeholders in the industry to set a fair purchase price for unhusked rice, he said. “Later, we will analyze each option, especially the impact when we apply option A, B, and so on. How is the impact on the inflation, farmer’s welfare, and public purchasing power,” he elaborated. KLHK strengthens commitment to realizing sustainable development

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Environment and Forestry Ministry (KLHK) continues to strengthen its commitment to sustainable development through biodiversity conservation, forest management, and waste control, as well as by addressing global climate change and environmental damage.KLHK’s Director General of Forest Management Agus Justianto noted in a statement here on Friday that his administration pursues the commitment and responsibility of sustainable development for the well-being of humanity. “Currently, the world is facing a difficult challenge. The earth is in the middle of triple planetary challenges: climate change, loss of biodiversity, and pollution. The three are interconnected, and there is urgency to address those,” he stated. The best way forward during the time of crises is to collaborate with each other to act and counter those issues, he emphasized. The pandemic also makes everyone realize that no country can single handedly put an end to a crisis. The issue of climate change also calls for people to prioritize multilateralism and collaboration. “All of us need to be part of the solution. We have to prevent the rise in global temperature from exceeding beyond 1.5 degrees Celsius,” Justianto stated. Policies on the environment and forestry sector that have undergone corrections will be improved further, he remarked. Some policies that have been changed and improved include transformation in structure and human and natural resources’ productivity in order to address disparity and ensure welfare in terms of land management access. The forest area will be separated for two uses. As much as 12.7 million hectares will be used for social forestry and around 4.1 million hectares for Agrarian Reform Land. Corporate permits will be limited, and the rate of corporate ownership is estimated to go down, from 96 percent to 71 to even 69 percent. Concurrently, allocation for the public is 29-31 percent. The second is to pursue a moratorium for over 66 million hectares of primary forest and peatlands, restoration and water management for 3.4 million hectares of peatlands, river and mangrove rehabilitation, shifting paradigm towards forest landscape management, and adopting the multi-business forestry model. The third measure is prevention of biodiversity loss through protection as well as area conservation to maintain wetlands and the habitat. The fourth is to reduce the deforestation rate to its lowest point. In 2020, it was 115 thousand hectares, and the figure decreased in the following year. The fifth is to take climate actions in several sectors, including through area arrangement, controlling forest and land fire permanently, climate village programs, waste management in the circular economy concept, and carbon economic values. The sixth is to control carbon emissions through the 2030 FOLU Net Sink plan in a bid to control climate change. The seventh is to develop regulation and work instruments in the environment and forestry sector. The eighth is to establish climate resilience through restoration efforts, such as through forest and land rehabilitation as well as mangrove and peatlands’ restoration and management. “In terms of climate change control, Indonesia consistently tries to lead and set an example,” he concluded. baca-jugaRelated news: Timah successfully rehabilitates Tuing watershed in Bangka: ministryRelated news: Remain alert against greenwashing practices: minister to stakeholders

Court’s ruling on election delay a big mistake: Minister

I think the judges do not understand the basics of legal taxonomy. Malang, E Java (ANTARA) – Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD opined that the Central Jakarta Court’s verdict demanding the General Elections Commission (KPU) to halt the 2024 electoral preparations is a big mistake.Hence, he fully supported KPU to appeal against the court ruling. “Yes, (the KPU) has announced that it will appeal (against the verdict). We support it,” Mahfud remarked here on Friday. Earlier, on Thursday (March 2), in response to a lawsuit filed by the Prima Party that challenged the KPU decision to disqualify the party from contesting the 2024 general election, the Central Jakarta Court ruled that the commission must halt the ongoing process. Prima Party was declared by the KPU to have failed to pass the administrative verification process and would therefore be unable to partake in the elections. The court also ordered the KPU to restart the entire election process from the start in the next 28 months. Mahfud said the court’s ruling has shown the judges’ failure to understand the legal taxonomy. “I think the judges do not understand the basics of legal taxonomy. All legal experts, those who have knowledge in legal issues, especially regarding legal taxonomy, said that it is a big mistake,” he noted. ccording to the minister, the Central Jakarta Court’s ruling could not be implemented, as it is not the district court’s authority to settle disputes related to the general elections. It would be the authority of the State Administration Court (PTUN) or the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) to settle any dispute in the early stages of the elections, he stated. Mahfud stated that disputes in the result of general elections would be settled by the Constitution Court (MK). “That is what the law said,” he stressed. The minister has also questioned the use of civil law in handling the case while the KPU is a public legal entity. “Civil law is for private entity. Therefore, the KPU should fight (against the verdict), and the public will support it,” he stated. Prima Party filed its lawsuit against the KPU on December 8, 2022. baca-jugaRelated news: KPU asks Bawaslu to reprimand parties promoting identity politicsRelated news: Will use 2024 election to unite nation: stakeholders
