Anies Checks Fire Victims In Tomang

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan conducted a visit to check Tomang fire victims, Grogol Petamburan West Jakarta. 165 houses from RW 11, 14, and 15 were burnt. 234 families or 1,251 people become homeless due to this incident.

“Jakarta Government has gave a fast respond by handling the fire and giving assistance to the victims. I will ensure them to be served well,” he stated, Tuesday (1/22) night.

Basic needs such as clean water, food, emergency place to stay, and health service, shelter tents, public kitchen, health post, portable toilets are provided by Jakarta Government. Regarding to this assistance, Anies appreciates related SKPD/UKPD and volunteers who give their best to serve all the victims.

Anies wants elders, toddlers, children, and people who need special treatment should be given the first priority. Besides, Jakarta Government will facilitate fire victims who lost their important administration documents.

“We will ensure to reduce their burden. Later, our personnel will visit residents and collect their data to monitor and help them in making administration documents,” he said.

For information, fire destroyed houses of RW 11, 14, and 15, Tomang Urban Village, Monday (1/21). Allegedly, it was caused by short circuit.
