Amount Of Trash After 2019 New Year’s Party Reduced Drastically

Amount of trash collected after 2019 new year’s party is lower than amount generated at last year.

Jakarta LH Dept. Head, Isnawa Adji stated, his side has collected 327 tons of trash from several crowded places in Jakarta after 2019 new year’s party. It is lower than last year’s party that reached to 780 tons of trash.

“We immediately deploy our personnel and 50 road sweepers to clean up the area after new year’s party ended. Our target was to ensure Jakarta to be clean at 4 AM,” he conveyed, Tuesday (1/1).

He explained, his side has collected 45 tons of trash from Monas, 22 tons from Bundaran HI, and 26 tons from Jalan MH. Thamrin.

“We are grateful that amount of trash this year is reduced drastically. Residents have obeyed by maintaining cleanliness and not littering,” he expressed.

According to him, previously LH Dept. personnel and some communities have distributed 10 trash bags to street vendors and put thousands of dust bin in crowded spots.

“We appreciate communities who care about the environment by throwing trash on its place. It really helps our personnel,” he added.
