5.0 earthquake jolts indramayu, w java

Jakarta (ANTARA News) – An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter Scale jolted coastal area in northwest of Indramayu, West Java Province, on Saturday at 3:57 a.m. local time.

The quakes epicenter was located at 5.26 degrees southern latitude and 108.27 degrees eastern longitude, and at a depth of 673 km below sea level, according to information on the website of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).

The tremor did not have potential to trigger a tsunami.
