HEIDELBERG, Germany, Oct. 04, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Today, Treasury Intelligence Solutions (TIS) announced the launch of their new Working Capital Insights solution, which provides global businesses with 360-degree visibility and control over all their core working capital metrics and KPIs.

With TIS’ Working Capital Insights, organizations can seamlessly integrate their ERPs and corresponding AP and AR data with the solution in order to review payment terms and behavior for vendors and customers, analyze invoice and billing activity, and measure all elements related to their net working capital status and cash conversion cycle.

As TIS enables clients to aggregate and classify this data, users can evaluate their metrics globally or granularly according to specific entities, regions, or customers and suppliers. They can also leverage TIS’ visual dashboards for intuitive reporting and refine their analyses by any timeframe to view activity and cash flows through customizable and flexible parameters.

Using the capabilities provided through these tools, organizations can gain unparalleled visibility over their working capital and effectively take control of, recognize, and react to abnormalities in their WC drivers. For instance, users can evaluate DPO or DSO to identify discrepancies in payment behavior across certain regions or customer groups, and could also analyze payment and invoice terms across their supplier base to determine whether additional efficiencies or adjustments could be introduced. By leveraging these innovative tools in conjunction with TIS’ existing liquidity and payment management solutions, organizations can access all data and information related to their global cash balances, payment statuses, and broader working capital operations across the entire company. And with TIS’ robust cash forecasting tools that were strengthened by their recent acquisition of Cashforce, clients can utilize their global data stored within TIS to produce highly accurate and effective cash forecasts across any time horizon.

According to Erik Masing, CEO of TIS, “The working capital solutions recently introduced by our team are the perfect addition to our existing cash, liquidity, and payments management capabilities. Now, TIS clients can control every element of their cash, payments, and working capital operations through a single solution, with the ability to also connect and integrate with other back-office platforms and banks for simplified and automated workflow management.”

Automox Expands Functionality and Reach with Remote Control and New Global Partnership

Product and distribution momentum set to fuel international growth

Boulder, Colo, Oct. 04, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Automox®, the cloud-native IT operations provider, today announced general availability of its remote control feature, offering global IT teams advanced troubleshooting capabilities from a single cloud-native console.

Remote control is a powerful tool for IT teams everywhere. IT administrators often face a mountain of device-related issues daily, ranging from email account errors, password resets, and devices that won’t update, to processes that drain device resources. Without the ability to perform an in-depth investigation directly on the device, providing a fix generally requires significant time from IT teams and multiple tools.

With remote control, IT admins can gain immediate access to end-user devices to troubleshoot issues directly. The functionality was developed in-house by Automox’s product team to help IT teams quickly address a wide array of common endpoint issues.

“While our customers usually just set up Automox and let it run, we found that many of our customers occasionally need more hands-on capability with their endpoints to help with troubleshooting or user assistance.  It was a straightforward and natural step to add in remote control capabilities,” said Corey Bodzin, Senior Vice President of Product.  “Our customers can now use a single intuitive console to manage and troubleshoot all of their endpoints.”

Automox’s in-console remote control gives IT operations teams two major advantages:

  • Teams can quickly and easily access and troubleshoot remote devices for employees anywhere in the world to provide quick fixes to update issues, configuration problems, and more.
  • Teams can consolidate their toolset for simplicity and cost savings by combining patching, configuration, and troubleshooting into a single easy-to-use platform.

On the heels of its remote control release, Automox also announced further momentum into international markets with its inclusion in Orchestra, an IT channel sales distribution partnership led by QBS Software and global investor Insight Partners. Automox is one of five hypergrowth software companies to be included in the international launch, which focuses its preliminary distribution in the UK and Germany.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Automox, along with some of our fast-growing peers in the software industry, to continue to build on our international community of customers,” said Stefan Schweizer, Vice President of International Sales. “With new added functionality in our platform, our positioning is better than ever to empower fast and easy IT operations anywhere in the world.”

Moore Nanotechnology Systems Opens Global Training and Process Development Center in Charlotte, North Carolina

SWANZEY, N.H., Oct. 04, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Moore Nanotechnology Systems (“Nanotech”), a leading global supplier of ultra-precision machining systems, announces the grand opening of their Global Training and Process Development Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Mark Boomgarden, President and CEO of Nanotech shared, “Nanotech is very excited to announce the grand opening of our Global Training and Process Development Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Although the initial focus of this facility is to provide customer-specific training and industry-leading process development, it also provides Nanotech incremental production capacity to meet the demands of a rapidly growing market.”

Nanotech purchased and recently completed the upfit of a 50,000 ft2 building located in the Northpark Corporate Park – Charlotte, NC.

Nanotech’s core technology and employee base is in Swanzey, New Hampshire, and this foundation is fundamental to the products and services in which they provide. But as the organization continues to grow, Nanotech needed to find an ecosystem to help foster and accelerate this growth, and the Charlotte region allows Nanotech access to a world-class university, an international airport, and a city with the infrastructure to support a global footprint.

Robert Keynton, Dean of Engineering at UNC Charlotte added, “One of the advantages of having Nanotech expand their facilities here in Charlotte is that it strengthens our collaborations and our relationship, to include the hiring of our students.” Keynton continued, “But it also enables them access to the cutting-edge research our faculty are doing and to incorporate that knowledge into their systems.”

Nanotech continues to see significant growth as the requirements for optical systems become more and more complex and evolve from both real to virtual applications. The knowledge and process development required to support the manufacturing of these systems has also dramatically increased.

Scott Gerhart, Vice President Nanotech Sales and Service commented “Training and application support are fundamental to our product and service offerings, and in today’s markets, are expected by our customers.” Gerhart continued, “Because of this, our business depends on hiring the top talent available in the ultra-precision machining world. The students that are coming out of the Precision Manufacturing and Metrology Programs at UNC Charlotte are extremely well-prepared for the kind of roles we need to be successful at Nanotech.”

Paul Vermette, Vice President of Engineering stated, “As our customer’s continue to advance their in-house capabilities to meet the industry’s demanding product requirements, Nanotech continues to stay 1 to 2 generations ahead of the curve.” Vermette continued, “Our 5-year product & technology roadmap is built with customer input, which when combined with our internal investments, provides Nanotech the required strategic direction to achieve these goals.”

This new Nanotech facility is located at 6510 Northpark Blvd in Charlotte – fifteen minutes from both Uptown and Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The facility was renovated in 2022, to include the buildout of Class 10k cleanrooms, sitting on 24-inches of concrete isolation pads, and temperature control to +/- 0.1 degrees C. Additionally, the facility was upgraded to include temperature controlled high-bay manufacturing space, and a state-of-the-art training complex to support customer engagement.

Moore Nanotechnology Systems (Nanotech) was founded in Keene, New Hampshire in 1997 as a stand-alone subsidiary of the Moore Tool Company. In 2010, the company relocated into a modern, purpose-built facility in Swanzey, New Hampshire and in 2020 opened a facility in Concord, North Carolina. For over 25 years, Nanotech has been a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of state-of-the-art ultra-precision machine tools and associated processes (single point diamond turning, micro-milling, micro-grinding and glass press molding) for the production of advanced optical components in consumer electronics, space, defense, aerospace, lighting, medical and automotive sectors. Moore Tool, founded in 1924 and located in Bridgeport, Connecticut, has a long history in the precision and ultra-precision machine tool markets. Today, Moore Tool provides a complete line of high-performance CNC jig grinders, along with contract precision-manufacturing services certified to both ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D. Moore Nanotechnology Systems and Moore Tool are vertically integrated under the PMT Group.

DPR pushes for bolstering protection for children of divorced parents

Head of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives (DPR) Ashabul Kahfi stated that his side is pushing for strengthening protection for child victims of parental divorce.

The protection is being boosted through DPR’s three functions of making laws, supervising government activities, and allocating budgets

“For the role of legislators regarding childcare issues, normatively, the DPR has three main functions of making laws, supervising government activities, and allocating budgets,” he remarked during an online discussion followed here on Tuesday.

According to Kahfi, the dissemination of information regarding regulation on child protection must be improved, so that children sensing abandonment due to their parents’ divorce know where they can report it.

He believed that several people do not know that there are firm sanctions for child neglect. For instance, based on the Law on the Elimination of Domestic Violence Article 49, letter a, people neglecting their household can be sentenced to a maximum of three years in prison or a maximum fine of Rp15 million.

Kahfi called on the central and regional governments to channel greater attention to children abandoned due to their parents’ divorce since they are prone to face problems related to custody, violation of access to meet one of their parents, being neglected, and so on.

To this end, he also encouraged the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) to become a facilitator who can bring together various stakeholders across ministries and agencies to concentrate more on the issue of child protection for those who become victims of parental divorce.

“We, in the House of Representatives, are ready to support,” he stressed.

He affirmed that if the KPAI has issues and data, they can convey them to the House that will then help strengthen the advocation, so that they will be more widely known and can draw the government’s attention, be prioritized, and get budget allocation for handling.

UK welcomes Indonesia’s stand on annexation of Ukrainian territory

The United Kingdom welcomes Indonesia’s statement on Russia’s sham referenda and its illegal annexation of Ukraine’s sovereign territory, the British Embassy in Jakarta said in a statement issued on Tuesday.

“I welcome Indonesia’s statement that these sham referenda are violations of the UN Charter and international law,” British Ambassador to Indonesia and Timor Leste Owen Jenkins said.

The UK shares Indonesia’s view that all countries must respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of others, and that the Russian referenda are a violation of the principles of the UN Charter and international law, the British Embassy stated.

The British government argued that the principles are vital for global peace and security.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s attempts to redraw international borders by force undermine the rule of law from which all states benefit, the embassy added.

The British government considers Putin’s claims to incorporate the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhya regions into the territory of the Russian Federation a new low point in Russia’s blatant flouting of international law.

With this act, Russia has again violated Ukraine’s sovereignty, its territorial integrity, the UN Charter, and the commonly agreed principles and commitments of the Helsinki Final Act and the Paris Charter, the British Embassy said in its statement.

“Putin is losing this war and his move to seize Ukrainian territory through phoney referenda is a serious breach of the UN Charter, making peace even harder to achieve,” Ambassador Jenkins said.

“This is a major escalation, and with our partners, the UK is ramping up sanctions and actions to ensure that Russia ends its war in Ukraine and the damage it is doing to people around the world,” he added.

Alongside its international partners, the UK has implemented a series of further sanctions that target key sectors of the Russian economy.

There is no doubt that Russia’s continued acts of aggression will prolong the negative impacts it has already imposed on the global economy and will jeopardize prospects for peace, the British Embassy said.

Earlier, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had said that all countries must respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of other countries, in accordance with the main principles encapsulated in the UN Charter.

“Indonesia consistently upholds and respects these principles (of the UN Charter). These principles also apply in the case of the referendum of four regions in Ukraine. The exercise of such referendum violates the principles of the UN Charter and international law,” it said in an official statement, which was also uploaded on Twitter.

“Such referendum will further complicate efforts to peacefully resolve the conflict and perpetuate the war, which will only cause suffering to all,” it added.

UN Secretary General António Guterres has also repeatedly pushed for measures to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.

“Now more than ever, we must work together to end this devastating and senseless war and uphold the UN Charter and international law,” Guterres said.

Quality human resources highly needed in energy transition: minister

Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Arifin Tasrif emphasized the importance of good quality human resources to support the government’s efforts to expedite the energy transition process.

“In facing the challenges ahead, especially the implementation of energy transition, quality human resources are needed. Those who master science and technology (are needed), so that they can create innovations in the ESDM sector,” the minister stated at the 2022 Subroto Award presentation event here on Tuesday.

Tasrif said the government continued to anticipate global energy policies, in which the current policy was geared towards clean energy, low emissions, and eco-friendliness.

One manifestation of the government’s commitment in adopting clean energy was by setting energy transition as one of the issues raised during Indonesia’s G20 Presidency.

Through the theme of promoting a cleaner global energy system and a just transition to sustainable recovery, the government laid emphasis on the main issues of energy accessibility, clean energy technology, and funding.

To achieve this goal, good-quality human resources and extensive innovation was needed, he stated.

“This certainly gives encouragement to all of us, including the younger generation, to be able to contribute more to this sector,” he pointed out.

The minister further spoke of measures being formulated to achieve Net-Zero Emissions by 2060 through some strategies, including Massive New and Renewable Energy (EBT) development, including hydrogen and nuclear; gradual retirement of steam power plants; use of clean technology through Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS), as well as the use of electric vehicles and induction cookers; development of household gas network; use of biofuels; energy management and minimum energy performance standards.

“In the energy transition period, fossil energy, oil and gas, and coal still have an important role to be developed before cleaner energy is available,” he elaborated.

The 2022 Subroto Award, which was the most prestigious in the energy and mineral resources sector, is expected to contribute to the government’s efforts to achieve Net Zero Emission by 2060 or sooner, he remarked.

“I really appreciate the innovations and efforts that have been developed in advancing the energy and mineral resources sector. Your achievements and contributions have great meaning in the progress of the nation,” he commended.
