Constellation Brands Elects Incoming CEO Bill Newlands to its Board of Directors

VICTOR, N.Y., Jan. 11, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) —  Constellation Brands, Inc. (NYSE: STZ and STZ.B), a leading beverage alcohol company, announced today the election of Bill Newlands, president and chief operating officer, and incoming chief executive officer of Constellation, to serve as a member of its board of directors, effective March 1, 2019, on which date the size of Constellation’s board will increase from 12 to 13 members.

Since February 2018, Newlands has served as president and chief operating officer, responsible for all operating aspects of the company, leading the executive management team, and advancing Constellation Brands’ position as the #1 total beverage alcohol company in the industry.  When Newlands becomes president and chief executive officer on March 1, 2019, he will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and working with the board of directors and leaders within the business to establish long-range goals, strategies and policies.

Connecting Bridge Built In Velodrome Station

PT. LRT Jakarta builds bridge to connect LRT station with Transjakarta bus shelter in Velodrome Station, East Jakarta. According to plan, this bridge construction will be completed in February 2019.

PT. LRT Jakarta’s Project Director, Iwan Takwin explained, this connecting bridge is built until Dukuh Atas bus shelter to integrate LRT station with Transjakarta bus shelter.

Regarding this project, his side has coordinated with PT. Transjakarta, Transportation Department (Dishub) and Bina Marga Department.

“We have constructed its foundation. This bridge is targeted to complete by the end of February,” he said, Thursday (1/10).

He explained, this 150-meter bridge is expected to facilitate people who want to continue their trip from LRT to Transjakarta bus that leads to Dukuh Atas shelter.

“We will continue to adjust Transjakarta bus shelter extension in order to facilitate LRT passengers,” he conveyed.

Public Participation In City Development Optimized

Jakarta Provincial Government optimizes public participation in City development by allocating self-management budget type III and IV minimal 20 percent for each types per work units (SKPD/UKPD).

Jakarta Goods and Service Procurement Service Agency (BPPBJ) Head, Blessmiyanda stated, self-management type III is intended for legal community organizations that has articles of association (AD/ART) and minimal three years experience in its field. While for self-management type IV is intended for legal community.

“Each SKPD and UKPD should allocate at least 20 percent of its budget in 2019 Budget Year for self-management activity that involving community, such as cultural arts, urban farming, and others,” he explained, Thursday (1/10).

He has communicated to all SKPDs that has Self-management General Procurement Plan Information System (SIRUP) about how to manage self-management activity well and based on regulation.

“Actually, it depends on each SKPD’s policies. It is okay either to use self-management type III or type IV. The point is, they should match it with their budget, program, and applicable laws,” he added.
