Channel on Pramuka Island Cleaned from Mud and Garbage

115 sacks of garbage and mud are picked up from a water channel that is located on Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district.

“We send seven officers to the location,” said Seribu Islands Water Resources Sub-dept. Head, Ahmad Saiful, Friday (12/28).

After being cleaned, the channel as long as 70 meters length with 40 centimeters width only has 40 centimeters depth from 90 centimeters.

“Currently it can accommodate water in large quantities. Water flows well now. Hopefully it can minimize puddle and flood when it rains,” he said.

MRT Information Center in Dukuh Atas Inaugurated

PT MRT Jakarta has inaugurated a mini information center in MRT Dukuh Atas Station, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

According to him, William P Sabandar, President Director of PT MRT Jakarta, it is the first MRT Transit Oriented Development (TOD).

It is made to facilitate residents to know the progress of the MRT.

“This facility will give any information to the people. For example facilities, prevention strategies and acts of sexual harassment, etc,” he expressed, Thursday (12/27).

It will operate from Monday-Friday at 8 AM-5 PM. It will be opened at 8-11 AM during Car Free Day in the capital.

“There are our people who are on guard here,” he said.

250 Personnel Ready to Secure New Year’s Eve in East Jakarta

250 personnel under East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-dept. are ready to secure the New Year’s Eve that falls on Monday (12/31).

“They will be on standby in each post and some are at three monitoring points,” said East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-dept. Head, Gatot Sulaeman, Thursday (12/27).

Those three locations are Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Graha Cijantung Mall, and At-Tien Mosque.

“We’ll send 3 fire trucks plus 18 personnel in TMII area, 1 fire truck plus 6 personnel in Graha Cijantung Mall, and 1 fire truck plus 6 personnel in At-Tien Mosque,” he stated.
