An epidemiologist from Griffith University Australia, Dicky Budiman, said that with the decline in COVID-19 cases and the potential for an end to the pandemic, it is necessary to raise public awareness about the importance of following a healthy lifestyle in order to face the threat of other diseases that could put public health at risk.

“What is still a big task for the government is to increase literacy with risk communication, that we must start promoting literacy on healthy lifestyle,” he added.

He reminded that besides COVID-19, there are still threats to public health that are very much real and which might strike at any time.
