“Prime Minister Paethongtarn” leads the cabinet to take a group photo in front of the Thai Khu Fah building, teasing herself as a “newbie” before a special cabinet meeting, preparing information for the government’s policy statement to the parliament, while her “husband” came to give her support.

Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, traveled to Government House in a bronze Benz Vito Tourer, license plate number Kor Jor 995 Bangkok, with Mr. Pitak Suksawat, her husband, coming to give her support. The atmosphere was lively as ministers gradually arrived at Government House and gathered at Santi Maitri Building to wait for a group photo in front of the lawn of Thai Khu Fah Building, where officers had prepared chairs. Many Thai and foreign media were interested in following the news.

Reporters reported that at 09.15 a.m., Ms. Paethongtarn led the cabinet to take a group photo together. After the group photo was taken, the Prime Minister made a mini-heart hand gesture for the media before standing up
and walking with the ministers to Building 1 to hold a special cabinet meeting at 10.00 a.m. The Prime Minister and the cabinet changed from their normal white outfits to yellow Thai clothing.

During the walk, the Prime Minister greeted the media, pointed at himself, and teased himself by calling him ‘the new guy.’

For the special cabinet meeting agenda, the meeting will discuss various agendas. The Office of the Cabinet Secretariat (OCSC) will propose guidelines for cabinet meetings, submitting matters to the cabinet, and the agenda for assigning the Deputy Prime Minister or the Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office to review the draft cabinet resolutions, screen matters before submitting them to the Prime Minister, including considering the important agenda of preparing the cabinet’s policy statement to the parliament. In addition, it was reported that the cabinet meeting will consider appointing Dr. Prommin Lertsuridej as the Prime Minister’s Secretary-General.

After the meeting, the Prime Mi
nister and the Cabinet will hold a press conference at Santi Maitri Building (back), Government House.
